Baffling. I can only presume that you two have defective copies, or that there is a problem with your TV monitors. On my 50" Panasonic plasma TV, it just looks like typical 1960s technicolor. The effect isn't tinting so much as color timing. And yeah, my monitor is properly calibrated as well. Also, I agree VAMPIRE CIRCUS was much, MUCH too dark. I'm hoping THE REPTILE and PLAGUE OF THE ZOMBIES are closer in appearance to QUATERMASS AND THE PIT, a real thing of beauty.

I feel the same way about many Hammer castles including Horror of Dracula and Brides. It just seemed to me that Terrance Fisher didn't like a mussy look. It's Roman Polanski who really understood what vampires castle should look like inside even if his film was a comedy.
