Apr 26 12 5:18 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'm the UK. I threw it in quickly and it's definitely an improvement in the opening sequence. Not sure if my mid is playing tricks but maybe an overall improvement but without a way of watching side to side, hard to tell. I believe the defective ones have been pulled as the online stores had it listed with a new release date and as a pre-order so it should be safe to order.

I heard some complaints that the color timing was off, that everything was much too greenish, and I was hoping they might go back and fix that but obviously they didn't. Overall I'm very pleased but it is much too green for my liking. On the other hand, Sir Christopher's bloodshot eyes (or, rather, those fiery-red contact lenses) really stand out in high-definition -- even in long shots! I can only presume that you two have defective copies, or that there is a problem with your TV monitors. On my 50" Panasonic plasma TV, it just looks like typical 1960s technicolor. No greenish tint. (And I'm fussy about picture quality / fidelity - my TV set is properly calibrated, so I tend to be reasonably sensitive to what I deem 'imperfections').

Yes I have the original release but they didn't correct the colours with the replacement BD. If they did I would rebuy it. I use a Oppo 95 player through a 52 inch Sony Bravia TV... so it's not my equipment. My TV is also now calibrated with the Munson & Spears calibration disc too. I tried adjusting the hue but couldn't get rid of the green tint (sky's are not green) Others see it on screen-caps too so perhaps you might be a little colourblind.

Hey, Koukol - I know what it feels like to be in a 'minority' position over a Dvd / Blu-ray transfer - I'm absolutely convinced that Synapse's VAMPIRE CIRCUS disc is way too dark. And yet, go and have a look at the reviews on Amazon.com, and the majority of people seem to think it's a great transfer. They're all wrong, of course.

I agree with that VAMPIRE CIRCUS is too dark, Squire. About DPoD, I bought the BD even though people were saying the screen-caps were too green. I thought all we needed to do was adjust the Hue...I was wrong. Reducing the greens made the blood and cape pink.
