May 12 12 2:23 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I watched the last 20 minutes of CREATION OF THE HUMANOIDS. They should have called it CREATION OF THE BLABBERMOUTHS. Talk, talk, talk. I know I would have been really bored out of my mind if I had seen this when I was a kid. However, I like this one better than THE WIZARD OF MARS which was made by the same producers. It has been over 40 years since I last saw HUMANOIDS.

I`m not really complaining about IFC showing them. It is a real nostalgia trip actually. And the great Jack Pierce did the makeup for CotH. The robot eyes are super creepy looking. IMDb lists it as running 71 minutes, as does the Region 2 DVD release of it. IFC allowed 90 minutes for it. But when I edited out the commercials, I was left with just over 67 minutes. So I guess IFC is trimming the movies to "fit" in to the alloted time. Can't say I am surprised by that.

May 21 12 11:59 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	At least they ran a widescreen ( but not superscope ) DAY THE WORLD ENDED in a 105 min slot and did not edit it. They still have a way to go before they are running 45 min versions of these films like AMC has done.

On the other hand, I was watching something (non-movie, can't recall what) on IFC Sat or SUN and during a promo a set of linos appeared at the bottom of the screen for a split second that I could have sworn claimed IFC does not cut the movies they show. I don't think the v-o said anything on that subject, and I couldn't catch the exact wording. I mean, it was a blink of an eye. Could one make a film vary in running time 4 minutes out of 1 hr 11 minutes by intentionally speeding up or because various machines act differently without operators doing anything?
