I think we can add HOMEBODIES (1974) to the Ohio films list. It was made in Cincinnati by filmmakers who I believe originally hailed from Chicago -- director Larry Yust worked for Encyclopedia Britannica films (his father edited the 14th edition of those legendary tomes...) Avco Embassy distributed it, but looks like it was independently financed.

And finally, here's the New York list. I'm a little iffy on this one. I'm sure I'm leaving a lot of films out (please feel free to add, but remember I'm mostly focusing on the period from the late 1950s to the early 1990s), and some of these may not be independents. It was tough to tell in a few instances. I left out most of the Larry Cohen films, because most of them had a studio or production company behind them. I've included a few adult films, too.
