This has to be one of my favorite kits of this year. The likeness is dead on(no pun intented), it doesn't get better than this. The pose and overall detail along with great castings are top notch. I felt like a kid in a candy store when i opened the box up. I haven't had that feeling since opening up Janus' Man of a Thousand Faces way back when!!! Man i feel old....lol. Jeff hit a grand slam with SOF and i'm looking forward to the old bandaged dead guy coming soon.
I painted the Monster with realistic flesh with a hint of dead flesh added. looks better in person though, for some reason it didn't completely show up in the pics. Their's nothing wrong with using green flesh but i personally like more realism in my Monsters. As everyone knows the green color was just used for technical purposes in film making inspired by Jack Pierce to make the monster look pale, some color prints and color home movies from the SOF film popped up back then and showed Karloff's make up as green so that became the standard for the monster in cartoons and holloween masks. Well enough of my rambling......Here's the Monster!
Thanks for looking!
