Apr 9 12 6:32 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Did anyone catch this today on TCM? I saw it a long time ago, but not for a while. I really like the blend of mystery and comedy in the film. Preston Foster does a great job in the lead, as "Tip" O'Neill (no, not the politician!), the "Tip" standing for Tippecanoe. Lots of great dialogue and a great cast, and the mystery isn't too bad either.

Apr 11 12 1:19 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I recorded it the other day and waited until I watched it to respond. I really enjoyed it--lots of fun! Alam Mowbray, Ralph Morgan (doing needlepoint), Slapsie Maxie Rosenbloom, Paul Porcasi (the professional Italian) and ecveryone's favorite: Clarence Muse. We also get Ward Bond , Willie Best and a young Lucille Ball (watch for her on the train). It was a nice little mystery with some funny bits thrown in --the inspector, angry at Preston Foster's Tip O'Neil, says he is "gonna take you downtown and book you as a communist" That was an eyeopener!

GREEN FOR DANGER with everyone's favorite, Alastair Sim. Also, keep an eye out for a replay (I haven't seen a date posted on TCM ) for MURDER IN THE FLEET. I mentioned it over in "sightings" under "STARS". It seems like TCM is playing some real gems that have been missed by most of us---and if the folks around here have missed them, then they really are unknowns!!!!
