Apr 4 12 8:11 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN No, but really: IT'S A SMALL WORLD No, no, okay, for real: THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT, a very small, overlooked fantasy from a story by Ray Bradbury. A "feel good" movie in the very best sense of the term. The movie can't help but lift your spirits and put you in a good mood. Directed by Stuart Gordon, of all people. I highly recommend it. But maybe my favorite movie. As for "Odds against Tomorrow"--I saw it on first release, or not long after, really liked it, & got to tell Robert Wise, after a screening of "The Haunting", at I think the Academy's theatre in L.A. Lotta Ford here--how about "Up the River'? And for Hitchcock, "Rich & Strange" and "Number 17"? I don't know if "Sylvia Scarlett" would count for Cukor--Hepburn was already a star; Grant was becoming one; but it's an offbeat little delight.... Oh, & Ozu--"Good Morning"....

Apr 8 12 10:43 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I don't know if it qualifies as little, but I've always liked "Dear Heart," which is a whole lot less of a sentimental comedy than the title suggests. Maybe not what people like to call "edgy," but still, an unusual one.
