I'm working on an Evel Knievel vs. King Kong short film (!) and I've run into a question about the chroma-key. In past movies I've always used a green colored screen, but this time, since we're building a fake jungle set I can't use green. I thought about blue or red but those colors are in Evel's outfit and would also get chroma-keyed out. Would a bright orange color work for the screen or would that possibly interfere with flesh tones?
By the way, we're filming in color but the project will be converted to b&w when finished, mainly to cover the cheapness of the production, but also give it a more retro Kong look.
