Apr 1 12 5:19 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Just got home. I really, really, really liked this one a whole heck of a lot! I enjoyed the last one well enough, but this really worked well. I liked the plot, I loved the FX, and I really liked the chemistry between everybody in this one. I loved Bill Nighy in it, and would have enjoyed more screen time out of him. Apr 4 12 2:31 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I saw this last night and you have hit the nail bang on the head with your comments about the chemistry of the cast and Bill Nighy, Carl. They were such an engaging group that I would have liked to see more of them than of the admittedly terrific special effects! This film turned out a lot better in all departments than it really had any right to and I look forward to revisiting it. This is turning into a rather decent year for big budget genre films. Roll on 'The Avengers', or 'The Avengers Assemble' as it has been re-titled here in the UK. Knight of the Living Dead

I think it is better than Clash, and I think it's funny how Bubo keeps popping up in these films. I wonder if there will be another installment.

I don't think there's ever a need to catch Clash. If you have even a passing familiarity with Greek mythology, the first ten minutes fills you in on all the relevant changes they made to the story, which boils down to this: Perseus hasn't started shagging Andromeda yet. The reason for this died off-screen between the two films, and is not missed.

Apr 9 12 9:53 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I think people are way too hard on CLASH. If you loved this one, then watch CLASH, you won't feel it a waste of time. If you liked this one, there is a chance you might like CLASH. If you hated this, why even bother thinking of the first. But it isn't like this film is the complete opposite of CLASH, it just worked better. But to say that CLASH is complete garbage but this one if worth the viewing makes as much sense as telling somebody to watch one of the TRANSFORMERS films, but to not even bother with the other two. Apr 9 12 6:38 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Saw WRATH today. Great SFX - better than story unfortunately IMO. Frankly though, it is AMAZING what they can do with CG. I remember the HarryHausen days - waiting for the first "stop motion" creature to make it's appearance. That, actually created anticipation for me. Not so, with WRATH. They appear right up front and go one for 90 minutes. Good popcorn flick. I give it a B. And, guess what? JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS is STILL a better movie. Grade A. Maybe less is more. I dunno.... "I saw what I saw when I saw it!"

Apr 9 12 6:56 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I think the movies like JASON knew that they had to give the audience something more since the FX didn't show up until later in the films, and the battles were much more brief. So, we had better characters, better dialogue, better acting. It all worked together. Now, we have the monsters we all craved on display for the entire running time, so we lose out on some of the character aspects of the film. I'm not so sure which I prefer. I love the fact that this movie was so danged epic in feel, and everything on screen was just friggin' HUGE. The characters might not have been as good as JASON, but I still enjoyed them well enough.
