If I remember right, there was once actual scene in the movie where the carapace comes off to a certain degree, and it's quite visible in the film even though it dosen't come completely off.

Right on...the speed was so wrong in some of the fight scenes that it looked like a puppet show. There was one scene that was right on the money though... there's one scene of Godzilla and Anguirus slowly circling each other and sizing each other up while they growl at each other. It lasts for about 5 seconds, but it's very effective.

Apr 25 12 5:08 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I find myself having a soft spot for this film, especially as it took me so many years to finally see it in its' original form instead of GIGANTIS THE FIRE MONSTER. As far as sequels go, it wasnt that bad and it certainly had the serious tone established by GOJIRA previously. That was nice to see before things started to get a bit childish with KING KONG VS. GODZILLA onwards. This was never available on TV in my area as a kid and so finally seeing the finished RAIDS AGAIN is still quite a joy for me.
