Macabre tidbit: Alfred Hitchcock wrote an essay -- "Film Production" -- which was published by EC in their 1965 edition as one of eight sections about motion pictures (v15, pgs 907-911). I xeroxed it at the public library about 40 years ago, right after his appearance on Dick Cavett.

Mar 15 12 4:07 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Never owned a set (we had 1950s-era�World Book, plus a slew of annuals), but this reminds me of a commercial that aired often, 20 years ago, created by humorist/adman Stan Freberg (the last national TV ad of his that I know of): I'd see this ad a lot when recording movie and cartoon rarities off TNT at the time, when TCM was still a few years away from debuting.� "I say ALL you scientists are CRACKPOTS! The annoying line of the whole spiel is "I always wondered where my mandibula was". Heard that about 1000x. In my bitter youth,I always wanted to wreck that kid haha,he was smug beyond belief.

Just imagine him reading his 'About Me' blurb aloud to you in that voice. When I was a youngling, I met Kermit The Frog and his dad, Jim Henson. Jim smelled like powdered doughnuts and gave me a huge hug. We were a World Book family. Our set featured Lyndon Johnson as the current president. We got the Yearbooks until 1976, when the bookcase they were on ran out of space. I myself-and probably a lot of other Canadians as well-noticed that he bore a strong resemblance to Moe Berg, lead singer of the legendary Canadian alternative group The Pursuit of Happiness. I was rather disappointed Beavis and Butthead didn't play up the resemblance when a PoH video appeared on their show.
