Hey guys! I just read at creature-corner.com in an article by Greg Hansen, sourced by "Godzilla on dvd" that the original Japanese language releases of "Godzilla Raids Again" and "Mothra Vs Godzilla" are set for release on 11/07/06. The release of these individual discs appears to corraborate the rumour that Sony is no longer set to release the multi-film Godzilla box on 09/05 along with the original 1954 film. However, the article contains a grossly inaccurate desciption of the difference in run times between the U.S. releases and the Japanese originals. Mothra vs Godzilla ( Godzilla Vs the Thing in the U.S. ) states 89 minutes as opposed to 177 MINUTES in the original, and Godzilla Raids Again ( "Gigantis the Fire Monster" in the U.S. ) states 78 minutes versus 160 MINUTES. Being a lifelong "G-Fan", I can say without a doubt that this information is a definite error. Although there is generally a few minutes difference betwwen the run times of each version, usually the main differences stem from translation, editing, and scene reassembly ( of course barring films like "Godzilla, King of the Monsters" or "King Kong Vs Godzilla that shot new footage with English speaking actors )Maybe if you navigate thru the enormous stills gallery included on Region 2 Toho import disc of "Godzilla Raids Again" it will take 160 minutes, but not by virtue of watching the film. Hopefully, this error will be rectified before an internet myth is born
