Wow, Infinite1, you've really made a point of singling me out here with your jacked-up *intensity* and defensiveness about VHS tapes. It seems rather unwarranted. One would think you've been personally insulted the way you're making such a big deal over mine and others opinions of a media delivery system. Enjoy your VHS, please, by all means!

The world's a hard place; if something innocuous gives someone joy, great.
But tastes are different and are worthy of respect as such.
Hey - there are still purists who can afford to be, that insist that only film itself is the true way to see these films.

I can't recall the price at this time, though I remember the price I spent on my first VCR in 1982 (that was over $700). Something is making me think the DVD player may have been around $500. At any rate, I must say the player did last a very long time and I had it for many years.
