Jan 7 12 12:29 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The hits keep on coming! Can't believe this ... Comcast, or rather the host station, just pulled RTV and replaced it with MeTV. This is the third time in as many years that RTV came and went. Wouldn't mind so much but one gets attached! Oh well ... we inexplicably picked up AntennaTV and TVLand in the process. I hate station ping-pong.

Jan 7 12 10:25 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I was a bit bummed that we were losing RTV last summer, but man, that lasted all of one day. Me-TV really has it going on in terms of classic TV! Hope you'll like it. And I wish we had Antenna-TV, we don't have that one, though I also like This-TV, which we do have.

I'm bummed 'cuz no matter how bad Wolfman Mac and Offbeat Cinema were, we now have nothing. Of course, we COULD also get "Thriller" and "The Twilight Zone" during the week, but OF COURSE the signal gets cut just before they air, too ... bummed 'cuz I've not seen the former since I was a kid and I don't remember it well. I've also read that Comcast is tossing TCM and AMC in some markets, or rather, is bumping them up to the next pay plan, so many with basic and basic plus aren't going to receive them, either ... ahhh ... cable ...

Jan 9 12 12:47 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Unfortunately MeTV in the SF bay area is only on local antennae broadcast since it is a sub carrier channel here (20.2) and the MeTV folks explained that most satellite companies don't like to carry sub carrier channels (don't know about cable). But luckily I have bunny ears that work just fine at picking it up. I think their lineup is significantly better than RTV now. And this channel is also carried on Dish Network & DirecTV.

Particularly irritating because one of our model club members, Jeff Wehenkel, does the mask and prosthetic makeup on Balroc (sp).

At least something is broadcast on 22 here in central CT, but every time RTV appears it has a shelf life of exactly 6 months. I know the company in question that carries these networks is on dicey financial tables and I suppose this is the result. The weird postscript to this story is that the owner has reprogrammed his chinese content channel to carry RTV, but oddly not in its old market, but carriers north of here. Jan 11 12 5:19 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Well channel surfing yesterday I was surprise to find RTV on channel 8.2 here in LA I normally get nothing but static there and I know last year I did catch a few of the A-TEAN episodes and other shows before RTV was replace by static. So I hope they stick around this time they were airing the SAINT and man I had forgotten the early episodes were in black & white, well actually the majority of them according to Wikipedia I guess growing up in the late 1970's and early 80's they would mostly air the color ones back then or at least those are ones I remember. Svengoolie is a REAL treat. I've been spending the night there most Saturdays to watch the newest WHO episodes my sister missed than staying up alone to watch SVEN~! There is just something magical about watching a Universal with a real-live Horror Host! With Chocolate Chip cookies and milk! -Clark
