The Raspin production company had purchased 200,000 feet of silent film footage and built a new film around it. Could be totally misremembering but I believe that the only thing better that there is would be a 8mm "blow up" to 16mm. At least that's what I recall. Why or how that would improve things, is beyond me. Steve "This is the wireless detonator, men," he explained. Reportedly GHOST was originally envisioned as a more serious-minded fantasy feature but was drastically cut down by producer Herbert M. Dawley. Some of the disgarded dino footage supposedly turned up in 1920's ALONG THE MOONBEAM TRAIL. IMDb reports "The Academy of Motion Pictures recently acquired a print of this very scarce movie, and is in the process (July 2010) of arranging screenings for authorized people". Sorry for spreading the old misconception. Is that shot of the stegosaurus (and the weird Gertie-looking bronto model) in the ARE WE CIVILIZED clip posted above possibly from MOONBEAN? Maybe some of that GHOST dino footage turned up in LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT. I've heard rumors . . .
