Sep 20 11 12:16 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	This is the first licensed Universal merchandise I have seen pop up. Both of these pictures I took at Toys'R'Us. I bought the Frankenstein Monster of both types, and I think the total was like $18. Both are really similar in size(approximately 10inches tall). Both boxes only had these three characters, so I don't think there are Wolfman/Creature/Bride dolls out there(also on the box you can see they only list the names of the characters that you see here. Both sets of dolls are very soft, and squishy, and are not bean-bag type dolls. Also the "Super Deformed" characters of the second picture, I found in the actual Halloween section. The 'Footzeez' characters in the first(top) picture, I found in the action figure aisle.

Sep 22 11 3:20 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	OK, I checked this baby out 'in the flesh', and he's actually pretty cool. Kinda sorta looks like Karloff (by way of Eddie Parker). Actually, he reminds me a little of Sean Garrity on RESCUE ME. Might be the blank stare in his eyes. But at least they tried. Victor Frankenstein wrote: What is the body of this guy? (SHEESH, I needed to word that one carefully...lol) Hard plastic body, molded plastic forearms, padded upper arms. The head is hard plastic with a rubber mask-like covering. The eyes and electrodes light up, he turns his head, reaches out his arms, and growls. Karloff-wise, you could do a lot with a little judicious painting and customizing. Dark shadows under the eyes maybe, that sort of thing. Styling the hair makes a big difference, which the kids in these Spirit stores may not take the time to do (I took a shot at it, they didn't care). The brow ridge could be a little bigger in relation to the nose, but overall he looks pretty intense. The heavy-eyelid look isn't there, probably to accommodate the light-up eyes, which are neat. He's over six feet tall, and if you built up the boots a little, he could be even taller. The box is huge, maybe 3 ft. square. All in all, not too shabby.

When you press the button he growls and raises his arms like he's about to grab you. In the dark it would scare the pants of trick-'r-treaters. Also there was the weirdest, sickest Halloween display I've ever seen: a full-size carousel with lifelike demon babies writhing and chomping their teeth as they ride the little cars 'round and round'-- it would fill up an entire front yard.

It seems that they have different decorations as different locations, so don't assume they're all the same.

Here's my favorite bits of the trip... This was their scarecrow set up, with from left to right: a Witch, Dracula, Frank, 'Scary Poppins', and a pirate in the background on the right. This guy was supposed to be 'The Jersey Devil'...but he immediately reminded me more of Ernest Borgnine in 'Devil's Rain'...LOL...
