Aug 12 11 10:50 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	It's the first version of METROPOLIS I fell in love with ( at the time, the only other versions were lousy PD prints )! I still have a great fondness for Moroder's METROLPOIS and have it on VHS and DVD-R. An official DVD is wonderful news. - GJS

Aug 13 11 1:35 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I rented this back around '88 or '89 having only seen a pd tape with random music slapped on, and it totally blew my mind. By then the music seemed a little dated, but I still dug it, and I was totally stunned that a silent movie could look that clean and sharp. Even at 13 or 14, I was enough of a purist to feel a little guilty for loving it as much as I did, but screw it. Considering how much footage was still missing, they made a good faith effort to restore the original continutity, particularly the missing "Hel" subplot. Had anyone else even tried that before? Dave
