I've seen this one before, caught most of it on the tube last night and it was one weird, spooky movie, not quite as I remembered it from previous viewings. Richard Boone played it straight and from certain angles somewhat resembled Vincent Price, wholly appropriate since most of the film takes place in a graveyard. Horrors were just coming back into fashion when I Bury the Living came out in 1958, what with William Castle revving up and all. It could have been a Castle project but it wasn't. I decided to bring it up to see if it has any fans here. Low budget as it is the movie makes good use of its locations, such as they can be called. Near the end it feels for a while like a dry run for Night Of the Living Dead. It's a strange movie that much of the time feels as much like a murder mystery as a horror, and indeed it is one. Far fetched as its storyline is (but what horor isn't far fetched?), I rate it above average. Does anyone else here like this movie?
