While I like the creature in "Deepstar Six" better I like "Leviathan" better overall as a film. I am dismayed that there isn't a better R1 DVD of Deepstar Six than the copy I own but I found the German DVD release of this movie on eBay, the film in widescreen and with some extras. Support your local goober

Aug 12 12 2:31 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Just finished watching this one. I haven't seen it since the 80s, I am guessing. Maybe 1990 or so. There are certain aspects that I did like, and some that were just painful. The acting is almost TV movie like at times, as is the action. Nobody ever seems in too much of a rush to get anywhere. IMO one of the things that hurts the movie is the lighting. Although it probably would have made for an even bigger ALIEN/THING rip-off, it also would have added to some of the tension, and possibly helped with some of the FX. Sep 4 12 2:01 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Man, I always liked this movie. I never expected it to be anything other than it was, so there you go. I like the creatures, there's a lot of weird transformations. No, it wasn't a great movie, no, the effects weren't the best, but as a kid watching this on late night TV, I always enjoyed it. I remember once in my teens it was coming on the SciFi channel, and when the credits for whatever was on before it were scrolling, this voiceover was like "NEXT: The greatest Alien ripoff ever." It was the most honest description I'd ever heard on a TV station.
