The first thing I want to say is that I do not stand to make any money
from this leisure time activity -- I simply want to expand my audience.

Having said that, I DJ regularly at Blip.FM, and my name there is "Squashpants" (duh). It is my mission to bring to my listeners (these are like "followers" on Twitter, you add a DJ as a favorite and you get to see every "blip" -- tune -- that that particular DJ launches) music that is 1) not the usual high-tech, non-melodic, gloomy, post-modern pap, 2) is unusual, if for nothing other than how seldom it is heard, and 3) is immediately likable. I play very little music that does not meet those criteria.
