Jun 9 11 9:26 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I recently purchased a 22" Philps television for one of the bedrooms. I was excited because I finally could have my own flat-screen. But I am disappointed with the sound. I think when my regular Zenith finally goes out in the living room, I'm going to purchase the only flat-screen that has a good sound system with the TV; not like most where if you want good sound quality, you have to purchase it separately. The TV I'm talking about is the BOSE unit.

Sep 6 11 12:49 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I am currently watching movies on my computer screen. I am using Logitech 5:1 speakers that only cost me 80 bucks . The sound on these is fine, however I have discovered if I watch a DVD through the VLC mediaplayer [available free] the DVD playback has a Graphic Equalizer that opens the sound on these speakers up immensely and noticably. The sound thru these small speakers [and subwoofer] channeled through this graphic equalizer is the best I ever experienced at home, in fact it's better than my dedicated home cinema amplifier. The quality I am getting with this [proper surround sound] is remarkable considering the small financial outlay. Technology comes up trumps regarding this at least. Sep 7 11 11:06 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I think I just downloaded it direct from VLC's own site, Hal: if your computer is protected with Mc Afee or whatever, you should be able to check through that if it's OK.... Others on this site use VLC, it seems to be safe enough. Other than taking about 2 minutes for a DVD menu to come on , it's fine. It's great for screengrab freeze-frames as well. There's lots of features on VLC, for altering the picture, etc. Best of luck with it, it works fine for me. 'the horror..............THE HORROR!'
