I would guess the studio wanted to use him as Nightcrawler was such a great character with a cool effect, and they got kind of ripped off by Cummings refusing to do the part again. So this was we get that cool concept back.

I love the Marvel stuff, as you all know, but philosophically I decided that the first hundred issues of each of these comics are enough for me. When Peter Parker grew those extra arms, I thought that was enough. The Kangaroo, lol.

Today, I believe, she and Cyclops share leadership (and bed space) of the X-Men because (hope this isn't a spoiler) Professor X has either died or gone to another dimension. The original X-Men were, iirc, Beast, Cyclops, Angel (Warren Worthington III), Iceman, and maybe Wolverine? Banshee began as an Irish villain, I think. Badfinger is correct regarding Moira McTaggart. You are correct regarding Azazel, but he showed up later in the series. Angel Salazar (the "angel" in the film) is a very recent addition to the Bad Guy list, though Magneto originally had Toad, the Blob, and Uno in his coterie of villains. I don't know who the windy guy was. Havok came in a bit later, around the time Jean Gray was turning into Phoenix. There have been so many changes to the series that I'm sure I've missed someone. However, like the Star Trek re-boot, I didn't have much problem with the film's lineup because, imho, the film worked just fine. My wife and I liked it better than Thor, but I was always partial to the X-Men series from its inception.... Reed

Okay, I think the diamond bad girl in X-Men: First Class is the same diamond girl at the end of the silly Wolverine movie, the sister of Logan's girl. Kids think I'm crazy. Help! Opinions please!
