Shrimpenstein was awesome. One of my favorite childhood TV shows. There are a few clips on YouTube and TV Party.com if anyone's interested.
Re: Ultraman on Channel 52 -- my memory says "yes". 52 was a favorite after school TV destination in the mid to late 70s. We'd watch the Little Rascals and Three Stooges practically every day. Must have been around '75 or '76 when they started running Ultraman and Johnny Sokko. I'd seen the VOYAGE INTO SPACE feature which ran on KTLA seemingly every few months, and had no idea it was based on a TV series. But I'd never even heard of Ultraman. Didn't really grab me (I was in high school by that time, and was busy "putting away childish things") but if I'd discovered it a few years earlier, I'd have probably gotten a big kick out of it.
