May 8 12 11:55 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	As much as I try to like JOE KIDD, it's just ok. You would think having a cast with Eastwood, John Saxon, Robert Duvall and a director like John Sturges would make it memorable but it just does'nt cut it. I still think it deserves a passing mention, though. I tried to watch a bit of THE DEAD POOL again and did'nt make it past the 20 minute mark. Easily the worst of the Harry's. It looks like a violent TV movie that stars Eastwood as Harry Callahan. Clint's boredom with the role really shows. Kochillt, I thought Albert Popwell died much earlier than 1999. Barring that, maybe there was'nt a suitable role for him DEAD POOL. I don't know of any other reason for his absence.

I usually lump it into a group w/ Hang 'Em High and Two Mules, and with his later post-westerns, Coogan's Bluff and the orangutan films. They aren't bad, just... bland.

May 9 12 11:34 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Easrwood's first year on the screen was spent at Universal, where he debuted as an animal doctor in REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, then played the pilot who uses napalm to destroy TARANTULA (his face obscured, but not his voice). I was familiar with his scene with the rats and the cat for years before learning it was him!
