Yes yes. BBC scheduled it for 11 to 12:00-- maybe Hammer didn't tell them the thing was two hours long. And that version looked dreadful. (Cushing died three days after the broadcast of Part One. He w already in hospice, but asked Joyce & Bernie Broughton to record it for him.) Part Two ran the following Friday, with a lovely memorium montage by the BBC.
It was always designed to have six chapters, so I guess if you want to watch the first three and then wait... okay by me.

Lumping films together by topic then chronologically was my idea, to prevent the obvious: stacking the deck with ancient films first, and skipping around in subject matter. Fudged a little with the Hammer Glamour chapter. Old habit. Doing documentaries in strict chronology often puts ancient silent and early sound films up from for the first 15 or 20 minutes. I'd rather people start off not being bored, then drop back in time and show them where it started. (Not so much of a problem with Hammer, though.)
