I just recently re-watched A.D. for the first time in years when I picked up the DVD on Tuesday (great transfer), and I had forgotten how much fun it actually is. It is by no means the best of Hammers Dracula films (by far), but it is much livelier than I recalled. Lee looks great and Cushing is back. Top that off with Caroline Munro and Stephanie Beacham and you have an entertaining film. The scene at the black mass with the kids "letting go" and the line of Johnny Alucard's "Dig the music kids" made me grin from ear to ear. This has now entered my Halloween day rotation. If you are in the mood pick up the dvd "It could be a giggle".
