I see my good friend Kess' has posted some of his wonderful stop motion, here.
As a life long Kong '33 fan, I too always wanted a stop motion Kong puppet of my own, but didn't have enough spare money laying around to have one built up by the pro's, so I did the next best thing and bought an armature from Tom Brierton and decided to build my own puppet up. Anyhow, after several attempts I decided to do it the old school Delgado way!
I'm not attempting anything like what Kess has taken on, but am hoping to learn fast and also learn compositing too. This clip does have a live waterfall background. The stop mo' is jerky, but, a) we all have to start somewhere and b) I have about 1 ft of space around the animating table making it hard to get a good look at things as I animate. The room should be cleared out pretty soon, so that will help things along.
Anyhow, here's my Kongy effort for now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9ShIlaOYhQ
