Amazing reading. Started off with that TOO SMALL head for the Werewolf doll and here we are discusing licensing and copyrights. I find it very informative - not kidding!
However, now I know why we may never see the WARNERS or UNIVERSAL HAMMERS on BluRay. Too many cooks in the kitchen? I don't know if this HAMMER WEB can ever be untangled.

Yes they did when they called themselves the Hammer Collection and made a figure of a Phil Leakey design, but Hammer did not produce 12" figures since the early 2000s (one measly Dracula figure) and thus fan-made custom figures do not hurt Hammer sales. It is the same with pirate DVDs. Case in point, MGM or Warner (I cannot remember which) will not release 'Alfred The Great' to DVD, therefore ''pirate'' DVDs are the only DVDs of this film. It would be very unreasonable for MGM/Warner to bring legal action against ''pirates'' when they themselves refuse to release the film. Big companies should either make what people want (in this case 12" Hammer figures) or shut up.
