Another thing about the Insignia - it's even thinner than the Sony. Blu ray players have gotten really small and light. So stacking it on your Sony would be no problem.Do you have a newer flat panel TV? IF so, then you've almost surely got two HDMI ports on it, all you'd need to do is run the Insignia to the second port.Push a button or two on your remote, and you're in business. That's really the way to go if you can.
