My first car was a '62 Rambler wagon that had belonged to my Dad -- he gace it to me when I graduated college in '72. The photo shows a '64 model but mine was very similar, even down to the fecal-brown body and white top. Dad was addicted to odd little cars -- strange because he was such a big guy (6'2" and about 260). When I was a kid he had a Willys Jeep, a bathtub Nash, and (my favorite) a Crosley, a micro-mini car made in Cincinnati, with an aluminum engine block you could unbolt, pick up yourself, and life out of the car.

I don't think the 440 was available then). If the 383 was available, so was the 440. The 383 was originally made specially for Road Runners in the first year of production, and if I'm recalling correctly the 383 was a 440 block with different heads added. The special "Beep-Beep" Road Runner horn was also recycled from Chrysler's Jeep division... Just a Jeep horn painted purple,I was going to order a 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 340(or was it the 343?) They came available with 318, 340, 360, 383, 440 and Hemi. A 343 was never a Chrysler engine size.

Speaking of Plymouth Dusters, that was my first car, same color as this one with the same black vinyl roof. 1975 model. Except mine had Cragar wheels on it. Shoulda been renamed the Plymouth Ruster, but I loved that car!
