Jul 30 12 4:16 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Russ, that's what I think too since that photo was in World Famous Creatures issue 3 in an article about CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN and although it doesn't say it's Jock in that photo, the following page shows Easton jumping into the "acid bath" while he's on fire, and then Jock being attended to by some lady after that stunt is over.

This looks to me as it might be a "behind the scenes" shot. Looks like a stage light at the top of the photo. What do you think? Anyway,a lovely still from a heartwarming family film! NOT!!!! For some reason, I've always tended to catch this movie at the beginning and get pulled away or tune in at the end. Like most Hammer films, this suffers from far too much lighting. I love the sets but how much more effective would they have been with about 30% less lighting on them? Same goes for the make-up. My major problem with COF is they make Victor too much of a loser. He's playing with the maid, jerking around Elizabeth (Why? He doesn't seem to dig her that much), and plots to kill the professor to get the brain. But in other scenes, he's so likable and a good friend to Paul. The character just seems too incongruous. I wish they had more with the monster as well. He doesn't really get to do all that much. Seeing him wander about the countryside for a bit would have been cool. It would have been interesting to see him try to understand things. Hammer films are always great but there just seems to be such a rushed and unfinished quality to some of them. Maybe it is the censoring, or maybe just the budgets and shooting schedules. Gotta love Peter in this film, he's either the kind,caring Prof. Van Helsing or the evil,cold, murdering Baron Frnst. either way, he shines!

Looks like a still from a premier. Note how the creature has no head. Now I know this isn't behind the scenes, but was this Lee or a dummy?

Jimmy told me the statuette was brought to their flat by a little delivery man. They had him in for a drink, and that was the big Oscar celebration. I just finished watching SEVEN DAYS TILL NOON, a neat thriller and fun to pick out a lot of Brit character actors. THE QUATERMASS EXPERIMENT re-uses some of the footage from the earlier film, the night time search for Carroon on the wasteland, in the streets and sewers. Never noticed this before.
