Mar 19 09 3:23 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I don't believe the Collinsons did a second Playboy pictorial, but I couldn't swear to it. I do know that when Playboy shoots a feature, particularly a centerfold, they take zillions of photos that aren't used at the time. Sometimes these show up in later years, in later issues or elsewhere. It's possible that the 'other' photos you've seen were among those, or perhaps they posed for someone else at another time. Pretty girls, I can imagine more than Playboy and Hammer wanting to get them on film.

Call sheets are prepared by the film's production office and handed out to the cast and crew every night to prepare them for the following day's schedule. The sheets are in two pieces as the scanner wasn't big enough:

I befriended one of the 'schoolgirls' in the film when I visited the set and I got those stills from her or I got them from the studio stills department.

Mar 30 10 4:55 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Thanks, Skelton. Hammer came to Pinewood to do four pictures, the others were "Vampire Circus", "Countess Dracula" and "Hands of the Ripper". By this time my interest in the new Hammer was on the wane. Bernard Robinson had recently died. I still regret not meeting him as he was doing a film called "Run A Crooked Mile" at Pinewood when I was there and I had no idea that he was also working there. Although I saw all four of these in various stages of pre and post production it wasn't quite the same. I did however visit Elstree when they were shooting "Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell" as the guest of Terence Fisher, no less. It still seems like a dream today. A friend and I went to visit Fisher and his wife at their home in St. Margarets, Twickenham and had a great time chatting to him. Had to call him Terry and at one point we expressed our favourite 'Frankenstein'. Terry liked 'Destroyed' best and I preferred 'Revenge'. I took a scrapbook about Hammer with me and he looked through it and he wrote a very complimentary message about the fact that I had included a trbute to the late Hammer music director/conductor John Hollingsworth and wished I would do the same for Bernard Robinson, which I did do later for "Little Shoppe of Horrors". When I was on the set of "Monster from Hell" there was an amusing moment when they discovered that one of the cell doors was only dressed one side and the camera needed to see both sides. At that point Terry looked over to me and 'threw' a sigh of dissatisfaction as if to say that this wouldn't have happened with 'Bernie', as Terry called him. I also went over to the cutting rooms and met supervising editor James Needs, what a day. I also saw Peter Cushing at work (with his 'Helen Hayes' wig!) and listened to him talking with Terry working out the scene. This was the last time I saw Terry. I did call him and tentatively set up another visit at his home but for some reason it didn't materialise. He was a really warm and wonderful person. I was also fortunate to visit Jack Asher at his home. Communication wasn't easy as I didn't have a lot of knowledge about his art, all I could tell him was that they looked damn good! I don't think I was aware at the time of his circumstances surrounding his departure from Bray as it could have been difficult as I am sure he was somwhat bitter about it. Mar 30 10 8:50 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I had quite at time finally getting Jack Asher to agree to an interview for LITTLE SHOPPE OF HORRORS. He had written a tribute to Terence Fisher in LSoH #6 I think. And his family kept on him to give in, that his work was of real value. And, finally, he did. What a great guy Asher was. Oddly enough, while he didn't do another gothic horror after BRIDES OF DRACULA, for some reason they did use him for SECRET OF BLOOD ISLAND and THE SCARLET BLADE. I thought Arthur Grant was very good, and Michael Reed did a wonderful job lighting THE GORGON. But there was only one Jack Asher! I'm glad that shortly LSoH #9, with the full Asher interview, will be available again to our readers. Man, I hope to have all those issues on hand in the next 2-3 weeks.
