As some have noted, in many adaptations of comic
books and comic strips, the main villain usually dies at the end of the
film, even if a recurring foe in the original comic book/comic strip.
The MPAA made its peace in the 1970's and 1980's with having a
protagonist who took lives in a PG or PG-13 films. (Indiana Jones does
not put any special effort into assuring that his foes survive.)
Another matter that the MPAA has made peace with involves having protagonists who have pre-marital sex in a PG or PG-13 film. So, I started to think of adaptations where the protagonist has pre-marital sex.
(Obviously, as the MPAA tends to have a literal mindset about these matters, we usually only see people lying in bed together in these films. That way, the filmmaker can say "We did not show people having sex, we showed two people lying in bed with each other". Please do not post anything about unauthorized pornographic adaptations.)
Superman II: after depowering, they have sex in the Fortress of Solitude (what would Doc Savage say?); although many people appreciate that Christopher Reeve tried to bring humanity and kindness to Superman, I usually do not think of Superman having pre-marital sex, though, to present things fairly, they do not present it as treating the other person as an object
Batman: Vicki Vale has sex with Bruce Wayne (as Ms. Kingsley points out, it does not fit with how messed up psychologically he stand to have him "get to first base" so fast)
Daredevil: Elektra and Daredevil had sex, right?
Iron Man: He has sex with Christine Everhart
Any others? I guess they throw these scenes in to prevent the films from feeling too childish, as happened with the 1996 version of The Phantom (who remained celibate, even though in the comic strip, he and Diane Palmer eventually marry)

Curiously, the above mentioned films all received PG or PG-13 ratings. Startlingly, many of the R-rated films have not even implied that the hero had sex. I may have it wrong, but near as I can tell:
John Constantine did not have sex with anyone in his film-we usually do not think of John Constantine as a paragon of abstinence
Judge Dredd remained celibate in his film
Blade remained celibate in his film series (unless something happened in the third Blade film I do not know about)
