I just saw NIGHT OF TERROR (1933) for the first time yesterday. I'm not sure why Bela Lugosi fans don't talk about this film more often. It's one of Lugosi's few "servant roles" in which his talents are not wasted, Wallace Ford is the most likable I've ever seen him, and there are plenty of genuinely chilling moments throughout. (I love that last scene, for example! I can only imagine how effective that must have been in the theater back in 1933.) I certainly hope Columbia releases this on a legitimate DVD sometime soon.
