May 23 12 11:25 PM More My Recent Posts	animation anyway. smallville was ok and i have the last 5 seasons on blu-ray because the price was good but it should have been costume and flying.the final episode was a let down . i do however think the green arrow on smallville was more approperatr to the comic book charactor then the apparent punisher version of arrow.i am not saying transplant the same smallville green arrow should get a show .i am saying go that basic direction.make him more hero rather then vigalante.i know the charactor would technically be a vigalante but make him more hero. i think it would be cool if green arrow used the trick arrows like he did in the beginning. i do think the animation they do for video is great. May 24 12 3:35 PM More My Recent Posts	That ARROW trailer actually seems pretty authentic to GA's origin from the comics, minus the part with Dad's hit list. I guess we should thank Joss Whedon for putting Hawkeye into his AVENGERS story. If it's half as fun as HUMAN TARGET, I'll be up for a look see.

May 25 12 3:40 PM More My Recent Posts	Not me. I HATED the Schumacher films, tolerated the first Burton film. I'm a HUGE spider-man fan but I really disliked Raimi's vision for the most part. If it's not good, then meh. All the Dark Shadows reviews have kept me away from that film. Story, story, story.

I'm pretty sure I've seen all the modern Bat-films in the theater, in some cases I've blocked the memory. The main thing is owning the video or even watching it again (all the way through) afterwards. So far I can only say that about the two Burton films. I have some nice toys, and a bunch of Japanese film memorabilia based on the Nolan films but (so far) that's it. Of the Marvel films I've only seen the first Rami Spider-Man film and THE AVENGERS in a theater. I would have liked to have seen PUNISHER: WAR ZONE in a theater but it wasn't convenient to do so. It remains my favorite Marvel adaptation. I also skipped all the Superman films after the second one. The only other franchises I will make the effort to see on a big screen with strangers are the Bond films and whatever Godzilla comes along.

I have a modest collection of Batmobiles and some related items. While I have not learned to fully appreciate Nolan's idea of of who Batman is, what drives him etc. I do respect the creative talents behind the art design for the films, specifically I like the tumbler as a new take on what the Batmobile can look like and I especially like the Bat-Pod. I'm excited to see the further enhancements on display in the next film. The whole "Where does he get all these wonderful toys" aspect, is a key element in my appreciation of the cinematic Batman. Also I am fortunate enough to have friends in Japan who regularly send me posters, souvenir books, toys and so forth from many of the types of films they know I have an interest in.
