Dark Knight was very good, but Batman's asthmatic monologues were pretty hilarious. Keaton in Batman '89 was great and although the film centered on the Joker, it kept the mystery of Batman (more so for novices) working well. It kept the mystery going so well that it took 20 minutes for Wayne to even show up on screen! How many movies have you seen where the supposed "star" of the film doesn't come on screen for 20 flippin' minutes!?!

If you don't like Nolan's batfilms, that's totally cool and your opinion, but I'd take those over the Burton/Schumacher silliness and certainly over the abomination that was the Adam West series. Ugh.
