Mar 8 12 1:47 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I agree with Stephen King. Torture films are not true horror, they are cheap, and not enjoyable. The Saw movies are as interesting as watching a pet rock do tricks. Give me more "intelligent" horror, such as John Carpenter films.

The whole thing is lousy with metaphoric content, pasrticularly Part 2. I never metaphor I didn't like. Anybody want to watch "Electrocuting an Elephant?" Mar 16 12 10:58 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Last night I watched the Japanese film GROTESQUE, which I guess you could say is Japan's answer to SAW and HOSTEL. It's basically a crazy doctor who kidnaps a couple teens, ties them up and starts cutting. I have a pretty strong stomach and this one here made me shrink in my seat, twist and turn and so on. This one here really crushes all of the "torture" movies from America and I'd say it's also the strongest I've seen from any other country. There's on STUPID comic bit at the very end but it's quite a powerful movie, although it's hard to sit through. At just 75-minutes with the credits is goes by quickly but it's pretty vile.

If people want to test themselves then it'll be a good way to do it. Even the "torture/rape" sequence is just something that you wouldn't even find here back in the days of LAST HOUSE and I SPIT.
