Jun 7 11 1:16 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	C3P0 was a marvel to me when I first saw the film, and the quiet adventures that the droids have in the first part of the film still fascinate me. The skeleton, the dune, the cloud, the Jawas, the sandcrawler, which is my second favorite Star Wars vehicle, after the Falcon. Well, the X-Wing is cool too, but I love the Sandcrawler. There's a shot during the droid sale at Uncle Owen's where R2D2's 'head' turns toward the camera, that still makes me laugh out loud. It's a reaction shot, and it's still very funny to me.

Jun 8 11 5:57 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	ME too. That's one of the 'bloopers' too isn't it - he does that head turn while R5-D4 is beside him. Luke takes away R5-D4, who blows his motivator. Then C3-PO suggest R2, and we get that head turn shot again, with R5-D4 still beside him. I always liked R5 but somehow never got around to getting the action figure. I got a Power Droid instead. I was stupid. I know what you mean about those early scenes too. After the spectacular opening, those desert sequences are just filled with 'What happens now?' Great opening to a movie. Also, if any of you love Star Wars, you need the Japanese STAR WARS CHRONICLES book. It's HUGE and has multiple photos of everything. There's a praying mantis in the cantina that I did not know existed until I saw it in this book.

Jul 3 11 6:09 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Rakshasa, I've always found something incredibly cool about the full-scale Millenium Falcon before the painting and detailing--it actually reminds me of McQuarrie's unused designs for STAR TREK-THE MOTION PICTURE, with the Enterprise having a wide, flat triangular middle section. Your picture choice is as usual amazing. Funny how this movie and EMPIRE can still get people talking today, while JEDI not so much, even its defenders.
