At least the box set wont be too long in coming: The first two volumes will be released in August 2012 in celebration of the 150th anniversary of M.R. James's birth. Two more volumes will follow in September, while the fifth and final volume, as well as a complete Ghost Stories for Christmas box set, will follow in October.

May 7 12 4:09 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Off topic, but seems all 6 of Laurel and Hardy's Fox films are now out on Blu ray in Europe. Seems to be from Sweden, all have their English soundtracks, all have the Fox logos on the covers. Bit of a mystery though as Amazon lists them as 1 disc each, yet claims they are Blu ray + DVD. No extras, but I would be interested to know if THE DANCING MASTERS has finally been mastered from 35mm rather than 16mm which the region 1 + 2 DVDs were. I have a funny feeling these 6 titles are just regular upgrades onto blu ray discs from the previous DVD box sets, and not scanned in full HD. Hope i'm wrong, but there's no further reviews with them.

May 15 12 1:00 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Damn all these boxed-sets! I want NOSFERATU for sure maybe AGUIRRE & FITZCARRALDO, but don't wanna cough up for the others. Same thing is true of the Hitchcock box, if I can get THE BIRDS and VERTIGO on Blu-ray, my DVD box is fine for the rest.

There will also be a boxed set of these titles and the previously-release SOME LIKE IT HOT and THE MISFITS. September 4 has been named as the release date for ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN, along with the postponed HARVEY.
