Oct 19 10 11:13 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Key [+] The basic format is: Release Date Title, Edition (Movie Year) Blu-ABC DVD-2 PAL (Dir. director) distributor & link CHFB (Notes) Release Date is orange for titles updated (in any way) within the past week, or white if there were no changes. Blu-B means Blu-Ray region B. Blu-All mean all regions. Blu means unknown. Dvd-12 means DVD regions 1 and 2. Dvd-0 or Dvd-All means all regions. Dvd means it's unknown. NTSC or PAL are noted if known. Optional: Director (Dir.) might be Producer or Writer in some cases, but it'll still say Dir. Distributor will include a link if there's a good (or bad) source for the release information. CHFB links to a CHFB thread with further info on the release (if there is one). Notes is whatever else needs to be noted. Just to try something new, movies are separated by the release date of the film. This means using the date of the oldest movie in a set, and also some minor quibbles over the actual date. Classic includes movies released at least 25 calendar years ago, Newer is later movies, and Unsorted is anything without a date (because I'm lazy). Movies already released are hidden in a spoiler. This means some browsers won't find then when you search unless you open the spoiler. Within the next week or two I'll add the other titles, go through the forum(s) and add whatever else is around, and click some buttons to straighten out that region thing, maybe putting the numbers and lettres in color with the colored BD and DVD. (We'll see if it actually works a week from now.) Only have some technical issues to make sure the software works right going forward. The only thing left is to keep those new titles coming. It's obviously up to folks here what to include or not. Do we want to include Murder and Mystery, Science Fiction, more recent horror, etc? Unless there has been any recent changes made by the BBFC, I won't be touching the set as five of the films are still cut! For example, Ilsa The Wicked Warden is cut by 2 mins 31 seconds because... "Cuts required to remove scenes of sadistic and sexualised violence, along with scenes of sexual violence, in accordance with BBFC Policy, Guidelines and the Video Recordings Act of 1984, under the grounds of possible harm to likely viewers and others." (the cuts were made in 2004 when it was released as a single DVD and part of the UK R2 Jess Franco Collection (Box 1) Other titles cut in the boxset include, Barbed Wire Girls (41secs), Love Camp (1min 12 secs), Love Letters of a Portuguese Nun (6mins 15 secs and even the trailer is cut), Sexy Sisters (1min 11secs). Blue Rita, Jack the Ripper and Voodoo Passion, are uncut. Thankfully the six titles in the Volume 2 boxset are uncut: Downtown Heat, Sexual Story of O, Downtown, Macumba Sexual, The Inconfessable Orgies of Emanuelle and Mansion of the Living Dead. Steve! You're doing a fine job with the Release Schedule. And thanks to dhtreptow for keeping it going in the first place.

Nov 12 10 4:35 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	OK, so Warner puts out a deluxe, book edition of the 1935 MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY, but leaves out the 1965 version that they already released in high-def when they were only doing HD DVD??? Why wouldn't they just gang both to sweeten the pot? According to Warner the 65 version sold poorly on HD DVD, so why not just add it to the BD package since it's doubtful they'll do another stand-alone release of it? Dumb

This is far better than trying to put too much info in the list. I wouldn't mind if the release thread had zero discussion and was just boring technical updates like "Hey, Steve, add these titles, or that flick's region B, or could you track... whatever or make it yellow?". To me, that thread's more like a wiki page than a discussion topic. If I can link to more discussion, that's nice added value at little cost. ... One other thing I'm looking forward to is adding digital download or other non-disc releases to the release list, but I don't see much activity aside from streaming, and that's kind of a bit much to track. I'm nowhere near 95%, not even 50%, and look forward to getting the other 2-3000 oddball and b-movies however they're offered. The only thing I won't go for is a download with a key. I bought 2 like this, lost both keys when my computer crashed, and can't play either now, and don't want to hunt down the receipts which are probably lost in outer-cyberspace. Thoughts?
