And you'd probably find me in the theater watching them.

Thanks, ARGumshoe. Glad you enjoy them.
I think that brief shot of this zombie as he drops the girl's body is one of the scariest moments in Hammer or any other horror.

In the "Trivia" section for the entry for this film on Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB) it says that Diane Clare
(who played Sylvia) was dubbed - does anyone have a clue as to why? Was Clare's voice totally unsuitable?
David Pirie's book Hammer: A Cinema Case Study (1980) reprints a production memo from James Carreras (I think), expressing his unhappiness
with an early cut of Plague of the Zombies ("not good enough"). A later memo approving the final cut refers to some re-voicing of certain
characters. Diane Clare's voice sounds very post-synched, though I've no idea who dubbed her lines (maybe Clare herself?) I think Clare is the weak
link in the cast, her merely adequate performance overshadowed by Morell, Carson, Pearce and Ripper. Not to mention the assorted zombies. She's okay in
Whistle Down the Wind and The Haunting, so maybe I'm being harsh. Perhaps a re-viewing is in order.

I'll wager Sir James got his knighthood by travelling the globe, shagging minor foreign royals and dishing out a damn good thrashing to any young cur
that dared crossed him, by thunder sah!
