First and second hand, I know that her life has not been easy. Plus, when you reach 60-something, let's face it, people don't beat down their doors to employ you.

I don't mind saying this: the audio reuinon quartet was my idea. I'd run into Bill Lustig on Hollywood Boulevard and he had said he was going to do a Rasputin/DPoD track with Christopher Lee and Roy Skeggs. I thought that was about half a load of crazy, since 1) they weren't keen on each other 2) Skeggs wasn't even with the company at the time. I countered with putting the 4 principals together.

After having contacted all 3 and initially putting Lustig in touch with Lee, and having arranged their very minor most-favored-nations honorariums, I was told I would have to "dis-invite" Suzan Farmer because they "... couldn't afford to pay her." Either that, or tell her she could show up voluntarily if she wanted to, but she wasn't going to get paid as promised. I never told her that. I simply paid her myself, and I wasn't getting paid for doing any of this. Nor did Anchor Bay foot the bill for my going over there. Of the three of them she needed the money the most.

More Ted being pissy-- during the lunch break I wanted to get a poster signed for a friend (not even for myself)-- I was told by a certain person in charge that there wasn't time. Although he had a raft of crap to have everybody autograph. As did the 15 other people there.

During the audio recordings, I got nice smiles from Suzan and from Barbara. They knew the score. And when the second recording was wrapped, it was Christopher Lee who beckoned me over to get a photo of me and the 4 stars. Thanks to him for that. Made up for a lot of other stuff.
