I'd like to expand the old "Favorite Universal Scores" topic to include all studios. In doing so, I would second the motions for "Bride" and "Son" (of Frankenstein). And add of course Max Steiner's "King Kong" score. And his less touted music for "Beast with Five Fingers"

) And a blanket endorsement of Roy Webb's music for the Lewton movies and "Stranger on the Third Floor". I'm mainly thinking of original scores--but, yes, who can resist the classical grab bag of "The Black Cat" ('34)? And if we branch out and include England, Georges Auric's score for "Dead of Night" is one of the best ever....
