The Post article is misleading as none of the films in question were actually considered lost; the FIAF has always listed them as being in the Russian archive. Roger Skarsten, on Nitrateville http://www.nitrateville.com/viewtopic.php?t=8271 listed all the American silents held by Russia. There are a lot of standard, familiar titles and a few rarities though nothing much in the horror vein and certainly no LAM. Henry Nicolella
