Amazon.com had this for $2 so I watched it a few nights ago.
Sad to say, I don't think it's very good. And I adore Bill Murray and Belushi.
First off I couldn't believe Lee's opening monologue, instead of, you know, trying to be funny, finds him explaining he isn't really a horror star. The guy's been on this kick for 40 years now for cripes sakes! And then his skits. Well having to stake the memoirs of Richard Nixon is pretty funny but that's due more to how DA played Dick than anything else. His Henry Higgins/Barbara Walters skit isn't terrible, but again it's not Lee who gets any of the jokes.
Lest I'm accused of being too negative Lee did get some laughs as the Grim Reaper apologizing to a "little girl" for taking away her puppy. That was reasonably funny.
Overall though I think Vincent Price would have done a far better job at actually getting laughs. Lee is just too serious for SNL. I haven't see much from this era of SNL so I don't know how it compared to other Season 3 shows but this was pretty lame if you asked me.
