Sep 8 10 2:12 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	THE LAST WARNING is an interesting film, and the last movie made by the always interesting Paul Leni. Not too strong plotwise, and the cast is thoroughly ho-hum, but the bizarre visuals more than make up for the film's shortcomings.

Everything. But what of it I could see, yeah he has some fascinating visuals, even more so than in the Cat and the Canary.

Apparently we got DVDs from the same source (I also bought it on eBay some months ago). For a time I even considered to recode the movie via a specialized programme on my computer, in order to obtain at least a b&w image, but the source is too fuzzy to give anything good.

The inventive touches that Leni gave it certainly make it worth a look, even if the print quality isn't tops. Also worth a look is Universal's remake HOUSE OF FEAR (1939), not to be confused with the similarly titled Sherlock Holmes movie from the '40s.
