Another beautiful Daniel Horne painting graces the cover of Monsters from the Vault #28 (Coming in December---I promise!) and the cover design, as always, is by Sorko! Being that The Bride of Frankenstein is my favorite film I figured it was time for the Monster's Mate to to be featured on our cover. Some of our regular contributors will help us celebrate the Bride's 75th birthday in style with their thoughts on the film. Also featured in the issue is Greg Mank's article on The Mad Genius and Gary D. Rhodes' article on a stage version of Dracula (featuring Bela Lugosi) that had an engagement at a Junior High School in Florida in the early 1950s. Finally, Michael A. Hoey (Navy vs. The Night Monsters) contributes an article on director Roy William Neil who directed his father (Dennis Hoey) in many of Universal's Sherlock Holmes films of the 1940s along with Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man. All this plus DVD and book reviews.
