Can't verify the time or station anymore. We get ThisTV on broadcast ( over-the-air ) channel 20.2. Her site lists the station as WTiC.2, but we dunno what this is! Is it referring to 20.2, or – ? If it's definitely on ThisTV, that'd be 20.2 for New Haven viewers. Confused ... Obviously, this is very bad for her because we may only be able to catch the show by trial and error, and who's gonna goof off that late at night just to find a show?!? Perhaps the local guides dropped the ball here. ( Below posted in the TV Terrors folder ) We're supposed to get it here in the New Haven area, but damned if I can verify this ... it's not listed anywhere except on her site. The problem is, there's been so much ownership turnover of stations in recent years it's hard to figger WHAT is what ... I mean, is Fox Fox or is it NBC or CBS? One station here is broken into all three via subchannels ... it's just a pain to follow. And what the christ is "MyTV"? Jeebus, this used to be easy stuff ... So, I wrote emails to ThisTV and Elvira to get answers, and Elvira's people were nice but shot back the same info as was on their page. As of today, the Hartford affiliate of ThisTV still has "Pumpkinhead" listed as their groovy movie. It's not as if her show was just announced ... "Lord I love Spring! The birds, the fair weather, the new flowers. It doesn't get any better than this. HOLY CRAP! what's THAT?!?"

I'm glad a local station will carry her show however I have to admit I would have preferred an actual Los Angeles stationwould have carried her show like KCAL 9 (formerly KHJ) where it all began but with them being owned by CBS as a sister station their LA affiliate KCBS 2 there wasn’t much chance of that happening. BTW I never watch KDOC and just took a look and noticed they are pulling a Los Angeles of Anaheim by putting Los Angeles on their logo. Luis

UPDATE: Got anudder email from her camp and it said that it premieres in Hartford the FOLLOWING week, 10/4 ... hmmm ... is that "10/4" a cheeky reference that I'll get lucky? Nahhh ... I've never had luck in that department. Wait! Wait! Not 10/4, but Friday 2am and Sunday 1am. Ub ... wait again. Is that STRICTLY Friday 2am, or Friday night into Saturday morning?!? Perhaps the local guides dropped the ball here. I'm going by the info I am getting from both the WCIU site and TVGUIDE.COM and both list the Elvira timeslot as 3 am Saturday night/early Sunday. It's possible that perhaps some other indy station in the area has also picked it up but doesn't seem likely. Most indy stations in this area have now become cannon fodder for infomercials.

Seems we have TWO ThisTV affiliates serving New Haven / Hartford. Didn't know that. The Hartford station, WTiC.2, or digital subchannel 62.2, can't be had with basic cable ( ch246 ) or via broadcast. Maybe ... just maybe 20.2 will mirror it, but I kinda doubt it. Cuts both ways; I suppose they split some programs to satisfy advertisers, who knows, or because the two stations are within 30 miles of each other. Dok, It is interesting that the new Movie Macabre will be showing the same pd movies that CKMT shows. I don't know if that will help her show, at least in San Francisco. Me thinks that KOFY deliberately bought Elvira's show too as what would have happened if KTVU, KRON or KICU were to have acquired the show and put it opposite of CKMT. The name appeal of Elvira might have really hurt CKMT, so I am not surprised that they put her AFTER CKMT though it would have been nice for KOFY to put Elvira on Saturday Afternoons.
