May 17 12 8:04 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	here`s a question for elvira fans. do you prefer the new run of elvira to the 80`s shows she did?or the other way around? i enjoyed both runs but i liked the 80`s one better because of the setting and atmosphere. i am sure most of you like both as well but which is the one you like more?

The 80's were better for many reason she was younger (and me too), the movies were better, her jokes/skits were better, etc. but you can't go back so I still would have wished her new show had continued on longer maybe she would have eventually stop relying on PD movies only. Jun 6 12 9:30 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Yeah, there was a reality show for a replacement Elvira, but I think that the person who one, while lovely, wasn't Elvira, and thus fans expecting to see Elvira #1 at a function and only seeing Elvira #2 created disappointment, even though that was how she was created (and it was Elvira's idea to do it; as I recall, she couldn't be in all the places she was getting offered to go at the same time so she thought she could franchise). When doing the most recent show, I believe she stated then that she wanted to only do about 3 years worth of new shows and hang-up the Elvira gown for good. Then again, I think she's not exactly rolling in dough, and may need that income. \ Regardless of if she's doing Elvira or not, I hope she's doing well.

It was announced Elvira would appear at the Exchange one day. Went down there but as soon as I saw the alleged Elvira, I knew it wasn`t her. She certainly had all the right "equipment" (in fact, she was BIGGER) but she never said a word. All the young Marines sure believed it was her tho.

I spoke to her briefly in a convention just last fall and she was not ready to retire and was in fact hoping to get back on the air and she still has a number of appearances coming up later this year. The way the show just suddenly started airing reruns and the fact that she can not get a show on air makes me think there is a lot more to this story.

Films will be DON`T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT, A BUCKET OF BLOOD, & MANOS THE HAND OF FATE. Don`t yet know what the last unaired episode included will be. It would be cool if the 4-film sets would continue with the episodes from 1981 to 1985.
