One would never think it was a film made 1931. Especially if you think that Dracula was made that same year and seems ancient, wooden and stagy compared to it - one would think there were 10 years between the two. The camera actually moves around a lot in Jeckyll and is used very artistically, whilst in Dracula it is just bolted to the floor.
